The Shepherd Society makes contacts with NGO’s and municipal organizations to identify short-term jobs at which workers can be placed. The Shepherd Society pays for the worker, and the organization receives the benefit. The long-term goal is to provide a worker with employment for one week of each month. The worker receives $15 per day for a maximum of $75 per week. With this income, the worker can provide for his or her family’s needs. The long-term result is a strengthened economy and an improved Palestinian infrastructure.
